...do you automatically get offered one of them speeding courses? I think I just got done earlier, if I did I was doing about 40 in a 30. I would rather go sit in a room all day than take the points if possible.

well, i was doing 48 in a 40, 2 weeks later i got a letter asking to prove it was me or not sent it back with correct details havent heard nothing yet and thats like 3-4 weeks ago now.

I just got 3 points and £60 fine but then again i got pulled over so not sure in your situation

you only get ofered the course if you haven't been caught before and it's within a certain amount over the limit.

a mate at work got done for 37 in a 30 and took the course.

Mine was first time but i guess 96 in a 70 must have been too much

i got 3 points and a fine also.. i was pulled over though caught well over the speed limit.. 53 in a 30 iirc.. (no excuse but i woke up late for work and have driven that road for 5 years or so)
I think you generally get offered the course if you get done by camera..

I'm mad at myself, the road didn't look like it would be a 30 and there was no limit signs but it defo flashed. I blame Adam_B for this

Because you made me come all the way out there Whats the speed limit as you turn right out of Asda? Speed camera just at the bottom of a hill I think?

Ex was caught at 39/40 through the centre of Chorley by a camera, she was offered the course.

Her mum told the insurance she'd been on it though, and they put her premium up. I was somewhat surprised by this you might say.

my insurance isnt affected by the points
