Right, basically a mobile number called my girlfriends house number asking for me. Strange as I dont live here. Then she asks who is calling, and they say it's 'Sky calling about the insurance on the Sky box'. Uber strange. Then she informs them that the Sky at her house is in her name and has nothing to do with me. A few mins later they asked if she was the bill payer, to which she answers 'yes'. Then he says there's a problem with the Sky and quotes my own home address, not the address he was calling!!!!! UBER STRANGE!!!

Anyway, we phoned it back asking for 'Dave' and the bloke says 'Dave who?'. So my girlfriend says 'Dave Harris' (made up name) and he says 'No, this is Daniel Williams Dad'.................. He asked where we were calling from, so we gave him some random town name, and he reckons he's from Bognor Regis. WTF?!

So, anybody fancy getting more info for me??

Aye tried that.

We also phoned the Police, they didn't have the number down as dodgy. We phoned Tiscali who didn't seem to understand (Indian call centre). And Sky couldn't help us!

Cheers anyway.

The Police phoned back this morning and told us they were going to call the number. 5 mins later the Police rang back and said the person didn't answer. So they sent him a Police text warning him about cold calling and stuff.

No, has happened before, but this time we got a number to use against them. It's not always the same story either. Sometimes they ask for me, other times my missus, have even asked for her ex before. It's not always a 'Sky' person either. So as we got a number this time round we thought we'd follow it up.

That's why we phoned the cops. We're a bit concerned how they know all that guff. He never gave a name first time round. But when we phoned back he said he was 'Daniel Williams Dad'. Whatever the feck that means.
