Half way through the run a dog ring decided to leave the gearbox, punching a hole through the bottom of the carbon fibre gearbox but still enough cogs for a 36.53 second run up the hill with oil spewing onto the rear tyres.
If the oil really was spewing onto the rear tyres, i'm impressed at how well he handled the car.

As far as i'm aware, the lap record is around 36 seconds, so a 36.53 is bloody good

Not too sure, but when he built the car, he quoted performance figures of 0-100-0 in about 4 seconds.
Its a 3.0 Arrows V10 (restricted to about 15k rpm and about 650bhp)
It weighs about 450kg.

He has the GWR Predator which is the first car he's designed and built.
He also has his Hillman Imp. Its his road legal toy that he races occasionally. Its getting a 2.6 Rover V6 fitted in the future. I'm sure that'll be quite a handful
