[QUOTE=BIG.GEOFF.H;3619031]Well a few will remember the connect i built well ive done another some say i get bored i need to keep myself busy all the time i went to a salvage place to look at a car for a friend and they had

this....

its a flood damaged 1.8 tddi connect lx it had a new engine but that didnt matter for wot i had in mind

this woz ere as well

a smashed focus rs

so the work comences

stripped to the shell

cut it up to sell quarters as the car was a cat c the shell was worth not as much due to the damage

and the rest to the scrapyard

i went on holiday for 1 wk then wen i was away i got a call from performance ford to say that a run at bruntingthorpe was on for the white van ide already done and i said i would bring both and said that the silver 1 wasnt even started it was 9 days till we was going and alot said i wouldnt do it im time due to work commitments and it also needing painting

my mate ste all wired doing the certain change overs from focus to connect

focus rs engine in

good bye cat hello de-cat pipe

ste had a rest by changing the vinal lettering to say rude and amusing words well we found it funny lol

mecanics now done exactly 1 week friday morning first drive on trade plates and off to drop off at my mate robbos sprayshop for paint

notice back doors how dented they are robbo is a very good panel beater and has repared them not replaced not by putting loads of body filler but pulling it out and putting minimum of filler in

now after paint 1 day got it back sat lunch time

the bumpers arches and side mouldings are to be anthracite with a new later front bumper and arches

primer

painted

now start to build up 1pm sat afternoon while me and robbo buil.d it up back at csg my big bro rob of h2signs did my vinal lettering

At a guess

1) Because they can
2) Because it's fucking ace
3) It's ace PR and this thread proves it.

PR is what I was hankerign after, what do these guys do then?

Just seemed strange for a company to do this to 2 vans and have them all branded up etc so i assumed there was some purpose

I would've thought it was lighter if it had an empty load

Transit connect

Kerb Weight(Kg): 1440

Focus RS

Kerb Weight(kg): 1278

Just thought it would have been quite a bit heavier, not sure why

Things like the wheels not any lighter, the seats, things like that? The Focus has them standard. Either way, there wouldn't be much in it. I'd imagine the Focus goes round bends better tho
