He is not the greatest champion ever ? IMO today once again he showed he can pick people off when he wants, and then run away

and the celebration was an intresting one once again

he is amazing jr. will get his 100 career wins for sure next year. i love the fact, that the Ducati is faster full stop, and the Honda is definatly faster out the slow corners, but he's just so fucking good it doesn't matter.

although apparently, they are doing testing next weekend to solve the slow out of the corner problem. such an entertainer, love the guy

It was a good race. Even when 4/5th you knew he would stalk and pass, right up to the front. His raw ability is what stands him out from the rest. You could stick him on a 125/250 against the 800 boys and I'd put money on the fact he'd still finish in the points.

Stoner is an awesome rider. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to check the results from ALL the other Ducatis finishes. Aye he does whinge a bit, but he's an Aussie, its in his nature. Still a fantastic rider.

I think next year, it'll be Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa, Dovizsiozo (?sp), and Lorenzo up front.

Ducatis the quickest, but Honda are right there with them. The Yamaha is the one of the slower bikes, even Suzuki have the top speed to match them.

But if everyone remembers, at the start of 08 Yamaha said their bike would never be the fastest as they spent all winter getting its setup to get into, round, and out the bends faster.

It worked, Stoner didn't handle the pressure, although Pedrosa would have given a better fight if he didn't have some of the major off's he has.

I can't wait for the rest of the season, plus next year. More bikes coming on the grid

Not only that, but in WSB next year, BMW and Aprilia are joining (Aprilia V4, i'll post pics if you want, brand spanking new bike for 09, spent years developing it).

So 09 WSB - Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, BMW, Ducati, Aprilia, and the following year, add KTM to the list GOnna be a BIG field and muchos fighting

Rossi's one of my heros "for sure"

no body said he wasnt, i think its the bike that holds him back, yes its fast, but they need to get the set up right, or stick him on a honda to ping out the corners and he'd be unmatchable, or at least have more of a chance against VR

rossi will never be bettered though, if he retired this season, everyone would always compare the new guy to rossi, and the man has made such an inpact on the sport, nobody could match him.

because most the lads out there are kids, hayden and rossi have been around for a while, they were used to it for years..

its been well reported that stoner uses and sets up the TC and various other eletronic aids more than anyone else, he also gets the best out of them

stoners riding style seems to be very near the majority of the time, whilst never really stepping out of line

compare that to rossi, melandri and hayden a few years ago, before TC, and they wee backing it into corners, sideways in most places etc etc

ive read and fully agree, that if TC wasnt allowed, stoner would'nt be rossi's main threat
