I used to be in the army. Served in The Black Watch.
Was a good life but hard going most the time. I was just a regular soldier so basically got all the shit. Officer entry is the way forward. Agian very hard work, but you get a lot of rewards. If i was to go back in, it would only be as a officer.
I say go for it. If your prepared to put the work in you can have a very good career. Fitness is a important factor, especially if your joining infantry in the army or the marines. So if your serious, start training as soon as you can and it will make your life in training a hell of a lot easier.
Any questions just fire away, il do my best to help

mate has just come out the RAF. i'd choose that over Army, Navy would be ok for you living in Plymouth, its shit when you live miles from water and you only get a few days back to see family. defiantly go in as an officer, you might get a waver on your maths grade if your aptitude test mark is high and you interview well.

Why would you choose RAF over army? The army isnt all just running and guns, it also has the biggest selection of trade careers in the forces.
I love it when people comment on the forces having no experiance of them apart from knowing people, that means fook all.

i love it when people assume others have no knowledge of the forces just because they havent been in.
