As used in saab and vaux, I know nothing about them.
I want a 9-5 aero but i've spotted whats pottentially a massive bargain and its got that engine.
From a quick look a tuning box takes them up to 220bhp and 400nm, this is about the extent of my knowledge on them.
Anybody got anything to add?

It won't be cheap to service, we look after a Vectra 3.0 at work.
The oil filter is a ridiculous price, something like £20, they take about 8 litres of Fully synthetic oil. Stuff like that soon adds up to a hefty bill.
But if you don't mind a big bill every year or so then its a pretty good engine.

As long as it uses vaux parts i'm not too worried about servicing as I can get all that done cheap as chips, i'm enquiring about that tomorrow though

Been doing some research, looks like when they go wrong they go wrong big style.
Turbo's aren't the vaux one and it's either a new one from saab or a refurb from the only place in the uk that does it.
GM only installed them for 2 years before pulling them.
Hirsch pulled their map quickly and never reintroduced it.
Back to the drawing board I think.
