What credit crunch?
There are no less than 4 'I've got a new car' threads on the 1st page in GC*
People been buying up shares in HBOS or something?!
*at time of writing at least.

Irrelevant TBH. I would be surprised if most of these people haven't financed themselves up to the eyeballs.

Not really, the prices of second hand cars have fallen hugely recently, so for some who wont be greatly effected by the credit crunch its a good time to buy.

If you've got the money saved up, then it's totally a buyers market out there. Especially less economical cars and houses.
Wish I was a good few years older with hefty mortgage deposit and mortgage lined up. Can get a lot more for your money down here now.

I have been wating a 182 for a long time, for the money i had i would have been lucky to get a 54 plate high milage, common black from some ex chav. However with the state of the second hand market at the moment i managed to get an 05, racing blue, 10.5K miles with 1 previous woman owner at trade with 12 month warrenty. As its already been said, its now a buyers market.

I got it from a Audi garage, the woman had traded it in for an A4 convertible so they were selling in on cheap to get rid. I just happened to be driving past on the day it came in

Interesting
Strength of the Euro against the £ has made us really competitive abroad.
Last year was hte worst year in 10 years on the books, we took £2.5million over 12 months to March. In the last 8 weeks alone, we've had orders placed for over £3million plus loads of servicing and re-fitting work coming off.
I feel fairly secure in my position for at least the next 2 years
