constantly in touch with these, my mates owns a garage, in which he has built a good 10 at least 205 track cars for folks,
mate used to own a 205 mi road car and was much better than the standard 1.9, he now owns a 2.0 8v turbo 205 which is very impressive, loads of diffrent options you can go for engine conversions mi(carbs), gti 6 , v6 , 2.0 8v turbo, 2.0 16v turbo or if your very lucky a gen t16 ,
the mate that owns the garage is now doing a winter project to build a solid 16v turbo for his 205 and hes expecting 300bhp at least outa what hes planning on doing,
loads of diffrent routes you can go down depending on budgets etc, if your going for road car then i would try source an mi engined one, iv driven a fair few that my mates have owned and built and there are superb cars great fun, cant drive it without having a smile on your face,

mi16 is an old engine now gti6 is seen as a much better route.
I'm currently builind a 309 with a 306 gti6 engine in atm for a mate and it really does look like it belongs there.
I also have a 1.6 205 but not a great fan of it tbh!
