A guy my dad works with is moving away to France and he has to sell his Citroen C4 before he goes.
Its a silver 55 plate VTS which is a 2.0 HDI. 9,000 miles on the clock. Its a fairly clean car with a small mark on one wheel and a small scuff on the bumper.
The guy originally wanted £8000. Knowing he'd be desperate to sell, my dad offered him £6000 and left it a few days. Those few days go by, and with the car still unsold my dad recieved a call to say he'd take £6k. Happy days...
He's just got to figure out what to do with it now
Had anyone got any experience of the C4? Are they good cars, or typical french shite?

Its the VTS so it'll be a 2.0 turbo diesel.
Some websites are quoting power figures that vary from 136 bhp to 180 bhp and from 140 lbs/ft to 220 lbs/ft... i dunno which to trust lol.

2.0 diesel won't be 136bhp without a turbo.
VTS is 138bhp, VTR are the 180bhp ones.
Looking again, there is no 180bhp diesel, the 180 is the 2.0 petrol.

Anyther bargain!
My dad just got off the phone to Elephant. He's sorting out insurance for the C4, and shifting the rest of the cars onto an Elephant policy.
He now has the following cars insured for these prices...
993 Turbo with agreed valuation of £65k for £279 a year.
Focus RS for £145 a year
Bargain

Its one of only 12 factory X50 (450bhp) 993 Turbos in Britain.
A 1998 model, so one of the last to roll off the production line.
27k miles on the clock, and in concours condition with trophies to prove it.

the citroen sounds like a bit of a bargain nice one. Is he going to use it as a run around or try and sell it more slowly for more money?.
I saw a citreon c4 loeb edition in Ellon the other day, dont know what spec it was looked nice though. was hoping it would be some kind of fancy 4 wheel drive edition but no rear dif

I think he's gonna see if he likes it first.
If he doesn't like it, he'l probably just sell it on. If it turns out to be a good car, he thinks he'll sell the ST24 and keep the C4.
I've never seen or heard of a Leob Edition C4 before, but just googled it and it does look quite smart.
