with an F16 box and all the bits, all shiny and clean, just needing a new clutch.

it's had all these bits

new crank sender
cambelt and water pump
rocker gasket
sump gasket
new bolts everywhere
new leads
new dizzy arm
new rad fan
new CTS
new thermostat
new inlet gasket
new tb gasket
new manifold gasket
new lamba probe
new dipstick gasket
new dizzy o ring
everything all cleaned properly before reasembled
every fastner replaced (bolts/clips etc)

and would come in a 75k Cavalier with no rust at all.

That's the engine.

I've been offered another car but need to know if I can afford to buy it by selling the Cav.

The car with the engine if its a clean shell would go for silly money.. Engine alone is probably worth 400ish.. Standard going rate is about 250 to 350 I'd say.

It's a totally mint shell, no rot, no massive dents (I think there's one dink on the whole car) the rear arches are intact, it really is a good one. But, it's only an LS.

Get some red Insulating tape and tape the pinstripe red, lower it and slap some wheels on,

thats all that needs done to a cav for people to like it

Here's my old Cavalier Gls I bought for £40 and did those jobs to

Cavaliers rule

Added bonus that that cavalier is really clean aswell

Would you use the cavalier at all or just buy it for the engine?

I want one for a wainter car or work horse!

I've got it, been using it every day and it's great, other than the clutch needing doing (which isn't a massive job or expensive) but need to know if I could sell it for a decent amount of money.

It's got a towbar with it too, just not attached to the car anymore, but that's easy to remedy.

Obviously I'd much rather sell it to someone who will use it, not strip it, but I'm in the same boat you were, I'd quite like to be able to take up the offer.

Mrs Mark will kill me if it does go
