Fuck the M1. Go M40, M42, M6 Toll then M6. It's about 10 miles more to go on the M40, but the M1 is super homo down our end.

Why subject yourself to the worst stretch of motorway in Britain for traffic, plus they're re-surfacing it in Birmingham again.

Or sit in traffic on the M1 where they're widening it when the M40 is always clear unless there is a crash.

If you go that way, come off the M42 and head for Burton on the A444; through Burton and then out towards the A50. Continue along the A50 and take the "Ashbourne" junction immediatly after the big "Lichfield" junction.
This road is the A515; head all the way to "Ashbourne", Take the first left at the first roundabout and first Left on the second roundabout; this is the A52; follow this (Signposted Leek) for approximately 3 miles and then Turn left onto the A52 towards Stoke on Trent.
Follow this road for a further 2/3miles and take the left which will be signposted Alton (maybe Alton Towers); follow that road and take the left at the Star Pub; this will take you all the way to Alton Towers Gates.
***Ignore the above, its signposted all of that route anyway

Infact, if you didn't turn left (towards Stoke-On-Trent) and headed straight on for 1 mile you could come to mine for special times
