As above,

Am looking at buying one from Dave A soon and would like to know if there is any major difference (apart from the noise )

Apart from an induction kit my engine is standard so I'm not expecting anything major in terms of performance!

Opinions welcome

do you have a standard exhaust on at the moment?

if so then the cat-back will release exhaust gases quicker through the centre pipe, so giving it properly not sure more power and acceleration matey !!!!!!

Yea mate all standard at the mo, would like to tune it a little bit but not sure yet

Was thinking along the lines of:
- CatBack
- Inlet
- Manifold

etc etc

more than anything it frees it up over a bout 4k. i have recently taken my cat-back off and ever since it has no guts over about 4k and is clearly being restricted!

You will notice a difference with the different manifolds!

From what I have seen on here people recommend either the Magnex ones or a custom made one

No no no.

With a standard inlet, a cat-back will do sod all.

it won't make any more power.

it will just make more noise.

mostly all of the restriction is in the manifold/downpipe/cat

You'll think it'll be quicker just because of the noise. Truth is, I didn't really notice any difference after the inlet manifold.

It won't feel any different but it will make a few more bhp at higher revs.

i had a K&N induction kit fitted, a Irmy back box and straight through centre section

in March i was at the SE region RR and clocked 60.3 bhp and 68lbs/ft - Deano87 which the same engine which was standard (1.0 12v on v similar mileage, ~85k) he had 60.2 bhp and 64lbs/ft - with such a small engine to start with you could argue that you wouldnt see any difference but that is what my experience is!

I bought one of Dave A's systems from a guy off here, including manifold, and i've got a mantzel replica inlet as well. It goes well together but to be honest i don't notice a huge different going from not having the full system (Before i just had a peco back box and decat along with the mantzel rep)

Just in case Dave A doesn't get back to me, I went to my local motor spares garage up the road to buy some Ford Focus Zetec exhaust rubbers (Dave said that I needed 4 of them and that they would be good to use as the exhaust would sit closer to the bumper etc) but I have no idea what part no they are and what type of focus they are from (what year anyway)

Can anyone help!?
