TBH most bikes are abused, that's generally what they are for! There's nothing really you can look for in terms of abuse.
Check all fairings for scratching obviously as you would on car bodywork, but also to make sure it hasn't been dropped/down the road. If it has you can get alot of hidden problems that you don't realise at the time. Not sure if it's the case on these models but on my model if the front headlights have too much pressure on them it snaps the tabs and then lets water in.
How much mileage is on it?
I would say look at brake pad life, but they should be fine on such a new bike (05 model is it?)
It doesn't look modified in anyway from what I can see, which is a good thing I suppose.
When test riding being a Kawasaki it might rattle a bit, it scared me when test riding mine but it's a Kwak, that's normal
It might sound scary, but make sure you take it to the redline, and change gear, to make sure it's still got a nice gearbox, change down gear at fairly high revs too (NOT 2nd to 1st!)
Erm tyre life...not much else I can think of really!
You could go as far as checking oil levels, coolant etc

Check for damage to the frame, and that the forks are straight and true. Check for any signs of theft e.g. damage to locks/barrells, vin and frame numbers.
Check all numbers match up ith the paperwork/logbook.
Basically everything you would check on a car, just look a little more closely for things on it

Beautiful bikes, my mate has one in that colour too, as said, they can be noisy, especially when going up and down the box.
Looks like it has a tail tidy too

Oh yeah the gearbox will seem clunky compared to a car, but it's normal, just test to see if it slips out under hard acceleration.
I did 140mph on my test ride
