My little brother was involved in a hit and run late Monday night when walking home from the pub.

I guess if the driver stopped he would get some form of compo (loss of earnings) as his injury's are pretty bad and he will not be at work for a long time.

I just wondered if he would get anything if they do not catch the driver.

Yeah 3 or 4, don't really have the full details, just know the car hit him and he went flying in the air and landed on the floor.

dislocated his arm which come out of the skin in his arm pit, broken chest bone, broken collar bone and loads of other little things.

So can't see him working for months.

Was it reported to the police?

And yes you can claim, the police would tell you to contact the MIB (not men in black) the motor insurers bureau.

well i am 3000 miles away so not to sure about the CCTV but when i was a kid there was not even street lights on that road so cctv i am betting no.

And thanks nova_gteuk. Figured I can't do much for him here but can at least try and sort out some form of payment so he has some money coming in from here.

a mate got beaten up in the street a couple of years back and never had any information about who did it.

was in hospital for a few days, they broke his leg with a metal bar and donked him on the swede with it.

he got about £4k from victims compensation fund or something like that.

they price on how many permanant injuries you have.
60% of the worst one, 30% of second worse, 10% of 3rd iirc.
each type of injury has a fixed price attached to it.

theres usually clauses in your insurance agreement which cover you for such unfortunate incidents.

if he had personal injury cover it should cover it
