speedo fuse keeps blowin ive got a 1996 corsa sport and recently fuse keeps goin on speedo i change it den afta a couple of days it will go again any1 no why?

it happened 2 my car, it was because of the cigarette lighter, take it out of the lighter hole and it should be all gd

do you use you fag lighter at all?this is what did mine someone used the fag lighter and it blew the fuse driving home with no speedo was odd

Cigarette lighter was my problem when I first bought my car. Disconnected it and its been fine ever since.

no but when the speedo stop working sometimes it will like the engine seem to cut out like all the lights come on.. likeas if wen u 1st put the key in and turn it once if u no wot i mean

either the speedo sensor or it could be to do with when you disconnetced the cig ligter. id geuss the terminals are still live and occasionally toucking each other. have a look at that as the same happened to me.

That's because the ECU isn't getting a signal so doesn't idle, mine did the same thing when my speedo cable snapped

so will it still have a speedo cable even though theres a fuse.. how much are they to replace?

if your speedo is cable driven and it has snapped it will cause the ecu to show that the vvs isnt giving signal(vehichle speed sensor)

change the cable and it will be fine,if its electric it could be the transducer going into your box thats faulty

I used to keep spare change in my ashtray and a 5p got stuck in my cigarette lighter and kept on blowing the fuse. Took me ages to figure it out!
