Just a query really... On mine it sits right over the wheel and where the water would spray... will the airfilter suck up the water and wreck my engine?

If not i'll take it for a spin

It will only be spray unless you are going through fords!

i think it would i took them out in the first corsa i had and the underneath of the bonnet was dirty cus it had no arch linings in

Fro & Gregg were driving without arch liners for ages, and had a foam cone filter, sometimes a carbon BCM iirc.

Now Gregg in the process of replacing bits, because he was getting water in the oil/oil in the water

might be suprised at the marks on the pistons if you take the engine apart /\
