Hello! I need my logo redrawing in a higher resolution so that it can be blown up for advertising stuff (for sale/to let boards) and flyers and things.
The logo's at the top left of my site - http://www.manchesterpropertygroup.co.uk/
Can anyone help?

I've just mailed you my attempt in .PDF, .PSD & .PNG. I can send it you in .EPS if you need it.
P.S. it's massive, A3 size and at 300dpi for printing

You need an .eps file, any other format is not worth bothering, just an eps file in vector format and you'll only ever need that!

Useful to know that actually. All the times I have done posters for people I have sent them out to the printers in about 30 different formats because no one has every told me what they use

If your sending posters to print then you should send it as a PDF, this holds all the information etc, so if they don't have the fonts they can still print it.
Logos: Primarily designed in Adobe Illustrator for example, design it in vector format first in its simplest form. The process I use is, design the logo in just plain black first, then copy and make it white, then you have 2 versions which can be used in black & white work, or versions which can be placed on dark backgrounds easier etc.
Then work on it in the colour way you want and make the final one, keep it saved as a .ai file (illustrator file) so you can always edit it if needs be, and just save multiple EPS files. That way you can send someone the eps file and they can place it on any artwork and it will be a transparent background, and it will be in vector format so will be able to be scaled up and down without loss of quality.
If you look on my site Here you can see the most recent logo/identity i done for a beauty therapist, i used the process i mentioned above when making this logo.
My advice is to never used photoshop for logos, its not good for doing it and its very long winded and not very easy to edit. Photoshop is used for exactly what it says pretty much, shopping photos or making fancy backgrounds etc, not for intricate work such as logos.
Sending Print items to printers/clients:
For print/marketing material i suggest you learn to use Quark or Adobe InDesign (Indesign is my preference) as these are the purpose built programs for them. Once made you can then export the files as High Res PDFs for print, or small res/low quality PDFs for proofing/approval etc. This is the BEST way to provide print ready files to clients and printers.
If you search google for Adobe Distiller (it comes with your suite or adobe professional) and learn to use that to make PDFs its very useful for keeping quality and information. When searching distiller also search for "pass4press" and it will give you a option/setting file to download and use with it, which gives the best print quality settings. We use it here at work and its the best one to use to be honest.
I've done posters for the london underground, also done the massive 7 by 8metre posters that are opposite the platform when theres no trains there, using these settings in pass4press kept it high resolution etc.

*edit* If you want to know the best formats to send to people give me a shout and i'll help you out. In all honesty the only files ever sent are PDF for print, EPS for logos/vector work and PNG/JPEG/Gif etc for Web. TIF's are used for high res images files.
