How many miles do you get to a set of front tyres, I am quickly approaching my fourth set since march  so I'm averaging around 5500 miles to a set
I don't hammer the car a lot, the tracking is fine, do you think this tyre wear is pretty excessive? May not be and I'm just a tight badger

are they cheap tyres that your puttiong on the car?
is it all four tyres at once that need replacing?
what kindof driving do you do?motorway for example?

I got a 1.9 tdi, so it's probably alot different, but my tires have about 1/4 tread left on them, and they've covered about 14,000 miles.

Not budget tyres by any means, have been putting Bridgestones on it the last couple of times.
Its always all four because I swap front to back once they are starting to get a bit lower.
I do very little motorway driving tbh, mostly A class roads from home to work everyday. Very seldom on any country roads giving the car death. I just think its a bit harsh on tyres, I was getting more miles to a set on my Corsa, and I never drove that car sensibly!!

I'm driving an Ibiza FR so it won't be a million miles away. 14000 miles is about £850 of tyres for me

I got Pirreli (sp?) 9000 or something on mine. £75 a corner.

Might change tyres again then, I get my tyres at trade price through my old mans business so mine are just over 70 quid a pop.
