Ive heard of this being done a bit by a few people but havent ever seen one done. Anyone on here ever done it?

What turbo would you use? Wouldnt it be harmful to the engine?

Its something I may consider purchasing - I was saving for a redtop conversion but now have to spend that money on Tech fees

And I wieghed my corsa the other night at 890kg - rear seats, carpets and sound deadening taken out

Tuned 1.6 vs tuned 2.0 and it's a different matter.

knew someone was going to say that as soon as id written it.

Hardly any point, not an awful lot of differnece between the two when you consider how much its going to cost to buy and fit one. If I was changing the engine it would at least be a c20xe

Turbo will be a Garratt T25
Courtenay used to just put 3 headgaskets on for the compression, their own crappy cast manifold, and charge £3.5k for it

Is it good? Yes. Is it much more inferiour than doing the same to a 1.6, yes, very much so. The 1.6 is by far the better unit to have.

Search on Youtube for D4MOB. Corsa Vs Saxo day, pt 1. Look for the 1.6 Turbo Corsa.

Turbo conversions have been done plenty of times. I hear water injection works well.

V-max so far I saw Regals Tigra 1.6 16v Turbo was about 230bhp, running a Dbalis inlet, T25 turbo, cast manifold, plus nitrous on top.

Pictures on my site <- under Modified Engine Bays, then Vauxhalls....

It can be done, I almost brought one last year, but the dealer wouldn't sell it to me. Said I couldn't insure it, when I was told I could.
