Was just thinking this morning, it costs me so much each week, it turns me into a cunt and I probably look like a right wanker when i'm drunk

Geniunely going to try and stop drinking for a long time, anybody with me?

I've been tea total for 6 months so far, with the odd cheeky beer when i go out for a meal

I feel much better for it and it means i've got more money to spend on things i want

I was the same lol, I drank 11 Pints in 4 hours and I was so pissed off the next day that I had spent so much money in 6 hours i thought "fuck-it, it aint happening again"

To say the least, i felt dodgey the next day

There's my problem. Best if I don't drink at all, because when I drink I really drink. And lately been getting more and more aggressive when I drink, it turns me into a fucking arsehole I HATE myself drunk. Hence why i'm stopping now and not before it's too late and I get myself in deep shit.

Fair play if thats the extreme you have to go to, But IMPO its quite sad you cant control yourself enought to have a couple of social drinks and not get off your face.

To be fair, I only ever go out to get drunk, it's what all my mates are like really, and yeah it is sad.

I mean, I can take the missus out for a few quiet ones mid-week, but i'm on about going out to town at the weekends mainly.

I gave up the drink about a fortnight ago and already feel better for it. It got to the point where I was spending so much money and getting that smashed that I would actually wake up feeling guilty the next morning and suffering from 2 day hangovers.

ive been off it now for about 3-4 weeks, which is good for me, being going to the gym everyday for the past 4-5 months, so i thought no point in doing all the hard work through the week, to screw it all up at the weekend! only going to drink on an occasion, eg, birthday, wedding etc etc!
