What about a Volvo V50 then. 2.0d is about the same performance wise, but lighter and no doubt better on fuel.
Probably a bit smaller than a Signum but will also hold its value a load better too.

^^ That's if you want the 1.9 model though. I think 2.5 TDi engines are about 150 bhp.

sounds like a tractor on tickover
sounds loverly when driving though, v6 derv 
no point in getting one though, 1.9 is all you need (150bhp), isnt much slower and not so hard to work on!!!
