as wrighty says, maxi-muscle is expensive, visit www.myprotein.co.uk. I get my whey protein off a supplier on ebay for cheap, bda iirc or i get cnp brand suppliments from a lad round here 'off back of a wagon' as they say

I started off on maxi-muscle but soon turned to myprotein after seeing the cost benefits for a very similar product

You don't need suppliments if you train properly, it's a marketers way of making you think a good diet isn't good enough and convince you to part with £25-50 for a tub of cancer enhancing powders.

i've always lead a healthy and active lifestyle and my job involves me being on my feet 8 hours a day, moving about non stop.

yet i never put on weight or ''build'' as i just havwe a slim build. i'd love to be able to be a bit chunkier and i suppose this is what these things are good at.

wow thats an ignorant statment, do you weight lift? are you very well built in a muclear sense?

its very hard to get enough protein for your body simply from food, protein powders make it a lot easier, its not a case of having suplements and not eating correctly, you take supplements as an extra help whilst maintaining a very good bodyu building diet.

as for packing mass on, weight gainers work wonders as they contain a lot of calories in a fairly easy to manage shake, there not crap and they do work, its very basic

you need more calories to seriously put on weight, weight gainer helps achieve this.

And if you train without the aid of any supllements i would be intrested in seeing a photo of you and also your diet.

It's true, you don't need supplements. Supplements are labelled so because they should be used in combination with a solid, high protein diet.

As for the cancer statement, I've yet to see any evidence to support this considering whey is just a bi-product of the cheese making process.

I kind of agree with Jizzler, I've been going to the gym properly for over a year, go 3 times a week and don't take any supplements. I just have a good diet. Just recently I have tried to make my diet have a higher protein volume though. I have two friends who take the shakes, creatine etc. Ones 6`4 and it getting quite big, the other is 5`7 and as you can imagine he doesn't look much differant! I'm 6`2, not as big as the former but lift heavier weights.

As you said Marc, your overall diet is the important factor.

Young lads with poor diets buying Maximuscle Cyclone down the gym thinking it's magic powder are sadly disappointed .

It isn't ignorant at all, it is based on experiments I've participated in myself and the diets/regimes I've put people through, if you lift big, eat regular meals and get lots of sleep, and leave a good few days between stretching the muscle fibres you will find you will natural get your muscle mass, if I was to recommend any shakes it would be mega gainer, because it tastes deeeeelicious!

In general young lads eat big macs and other depressants, I've spoked to alot of people who say "I eat chicken and fish, chicken nuggets and fish fingers".
