Morning guys

Anyone know anything about these? I fancy a new day to day car and even though Im not an Audi fan I really like the RS6! I might even sell the Tuscan as I just dont use it enough and replacing it with something equally as stupid would be pointless.

Ive been looking at MY04 cars with between 30k and 50k on the clock and they come in about £25k ish? Are they reliable enough cos I need to use this every day!?

I know very little about them apart from the fact that they are a 4.2 V8 TT with around 450bhp and for a pretty big barge they do shift. I dont expect it to be as quick as the Tuscan but at least I'll be able to use it more and get my fishing gear and the little un in it!

What do people think and does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks as usual

What about an RS4, you'd get one of those for £35k on an 06 plate now!!

Im not sure of the benifits against an RS6....just think they look better!!

Can only get them with an Auto gearbox and think the ride is meant to be quite hard.

Rapid machines though and beautifully built like all Audis

Looking slightly dated now imo, get an rs4 if you can as colin said. Wouldn't feel as much of a barge and probably has benefits as an every day car (fuel consumption!?).

Notied they were all auto's which does turn me off a bit altho I am getting old now and definitely more lazy so wouldnt bother me too much!!! Haha!

So they are pretty reliable then? Cos I just know they would be a fortune to repair!!!!

Too much like the Tuscan I think really but cheers tho! Need something that is quite subtle and I can park at Sainsbury's without it attracting any attention!

If Im honest Im just not into cars as much as i used to be at the minute. I just want a nice car that I can use day to day but that can shift when I need to blow off some steam.

I used to drive a normal A6 Quattro at work. Was the 220bhp turbo diesel model, think that mad it the 3.0. Was nice to drive, and had a lot of toys in it. I thought it was pretty quick too, but then I don't drive a Tuscan

Stu

They have DRC (Dynamic Ride Control) which is a fluid based suspension system

shocks can leak, and arent nice to replace
rear vavles for the DRC fuck up as well, but can be re charged

Gearboxes arent great, its the same box from the 2.5 tdi, so check for knocking etc

and the eat brakes and tyres

As has been stated most if not all rs6 have suffered from drc failure.
There are alot of cars that have swapped the consistantly failing dynamic ride for high end coil overs like kw or bilstein which obviously totally cures the problematic suspension issue.

Its a big car with a big engine so it goes with out saying fuel economy isnt its strong point.

That said it is an absolute missile and with over 500bhp a quick remap away performance will not be far from your tuscan.

Take a look over on http://www.rs246.com/
for answers to any questions

(edited to say ok slight exaguration its not gonna be as quick as a red rose :lol

Thanks guys! Ill have a look on the owners club and look into these DRC issues!

I just think for subtleness they cant be beaten!

The one I drove was only a year or two old. We've had a few Audis in the family and they have been nothing but trouble compared the the Vauxhalls we've had...

Saying that, the Audis are a lot more complex than the Corsas

Fucking ace cars, acceleration is just phenominal on them

Thats my dads old one, he still says its the best car he has had. But I'm sure they are costly to maintain when they have a few miles on. I'd still buy one.
