So, im insured by morethan, And i have just Lowered my car and fitted 2ltr brakes

I had a look at the policy wording, and the FAQ's and havent really found anything Apart from

quote:

My car has been modified; will you be able to provide cover?
We will not be able to provide cover if your car has been modified to increase the top speed or acceleration.

I take it that that is that. My car is still insured?

I dont fancy phoning up, as i dont want them to think i am doing things to my car or anything like that

I thought i was buggered to be honest

Im insured for £1000 on a 1.6 sport. I just did another quote and now its £2000+

So i thought adding mods is going to be pricey!!

It would have been an idea to check your policy before doing the mods though

You should really declare the mods however; even if it doesn't effect the premium

All that quote says is that if you are modifying top speed or acceleration they won't cover you at all.

You still have to phone up to declare mods and they could still charge you for it.

Then you pay it.
You have two options:
1- Declare the modifications, pay any extra premium that might be necessary
2- Don't do the above, and remove the mods

You can't not declare them simply because you don't want to pay extra for it.
