at 100mph my car is doing 3k the rev limiter is 5k

is this going to have the same effect on the engine as running a petrol car with a limit of 8k at a constant 6k cause it seems alot in terms of how close it is to the limiter

Or do deisel engines rev low because they make enough power low down that they dont need to rev high, is a deisel capable of running to 7 or 8k?

They develop the power lower down so don't need such a big range.

Ive read that back and it seems confusing as fuck

basically then at 80 its at 2500rpm which means the engine is running at 50% of its limit, is this bad

I've been tring to keep my speed down as i want this car to do around 70k before i get rid without sheding out loads on repairs.
