I'd rather the Astra TBH. Vectra is a bit bland compared to alot of other cars. In fact I'd sooner a smaller engined beemer than the Vectra VXR.

not seen a vectra out and about, only the astra and corsa VXR's, but pics I've seen and ones in showroom look immense. I love bigger cars and think this will give the right 'police' image

Maybe want to consider this if you want to give the right police image - http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/advert+search/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-115-240/advert.action?R=200834317208641&distance=343&postcode=fk3+9ar&channel=CARS&make=&model=&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=

Complete bollocks tbh. Read this -
http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/cargrouptests/65185/mitsubishi_evo_v_impreza_v_vectra_vxr_v_bmw_330i.html
In fact i will just make it easy for you.
quote: [iI lead, and it quickly becomes clear that the Vectra has pace and composure to spare. The trick, constantly variable damping deals with the wicked dips and gnarled surface superbly, and front-end grip is huge - through very quick corners the STi looks like it's struggling to keep in touch. The VXR is by no means perfect, the steering is too light and you have to get past a dead patch either side of centre, but its sheer grip and strong body-control really buoy your confidence. And the way the rear of the VXR gently jinks out on turn-in to assist the front wheels is very impressive. It feels poised, with no torque-steer to speak of and supremely effective traction control.

Impossible Adam, all high powered FWD Vauxhalls instantly spear off into a hedge when you apply throttle.
