ah shit...
Basically a memeber passed away and they basically got in touch with family and asked if they'd be able to go to funeral.. and a big number of people off the forums turned up, all in suits, with various objects, such as fiesta made out of blue flowers with messages from all the members etc on it
each member let a balloon fly in respect etc..
Just seemed a good idea etc

Better than turning up in your car and ragging it outside the church

Thats a really nice thought.
Was proberly a mod though, as you wouldn't go to that effort if the average member died. Sad but true

Similarish thing happened on the mini forum, some lad died and had a mini which wasnt far off a finish restoration, so the members all gave money into a pot to get it finished off and then gave it to his family or something

Class that.
Some folk might not have seen it but a couple of weeks ago I posted up about a guy I know from a forum who's ex partner killed his son. Anyways, when he put it up on the forum, everyone was in shock, so we decided to help him out. Set up a donation fund via PayPal, and we raised well over £1.5k. It helped him pay for the headstone he wanted, and a load of flowers made up into a WBA kit to go alongside the coffin.
Just goes to show that even though forums are just on the internet, some can really be more like a family than just random folk chatting online.
