just put the BMW up on a 28 day one as I am fed up of timewasters bidding, especially with the "no neg" feedback policy now

Anyways, used a 28 day advert for £14 which is OK I guess, Autotrader is a lot more and limited to a few words.

Anyone bought/sold a car this way? Any tips?

Thanks

I've got mine on it just now, 3 people watching it although I don't know why they would watch instead of enquiring on a classified ad.

80 odd views over 8 days which isn't very much imo.

Autotrader is stupidly priced.

Pistonheads was good until they changed it and now it's absolute balls, not very good for buyers or sellers imo, only good for lining the owners pockets.

Last car went on pistonheads quite quickly.

tbh if im looking at cars (usually on a daily basis), ebay is the last place I look.

I go straight to Autotrader then pistonheads.

Ive sold 1 car on pistonheads & 2 on Autotrader. 1st person to view bought on all both AT accounts, PH's seemed to bring some time wasters.

i have sold about 4 or 5 cars on ebay over the past year, granted all were sub 1k but sold well besides the odd time waster

for £14 its worth a shot

My car is still up on ebay.

I'm realistically wanting about 4k.

Some idiot that can't even be abused because they don't give you the name sends an offer of 2900.

Sent back 4100 so they came back again with 2950.

WTF do people bother wasting time for

I had my bike on eBay and had people emailing me saying that they were interested, but most of them didn't bid

Didn't meet the reserve, might relist. Just one more person left but they're on holiday at the moment

I've not got it up as an auction, I know what its worth and i'll wait for that even if I am really impatient.

I've got a few people watching but I don't know what they are watching for on a classified ad instead of just asking questions.

Doubt i'll be using it again.
