iam getting old
i think my let corsa is too fast and iam very seriously considering taking it out and TBing an xe instead so it is more of an all round fast car that i can use on the track instead of uncontrollable power to 140mph, hard on the brakes round a bend and wait till the next piece of straight road till i can floor it again
am i mad for wanting to do this?

Id say probably quicker as it would be so much more controlled.

No not at all, cornering speed is much more fun than straight line speed.

a corsa xe on tbs will seem so slow in comparison. If you are going to track it power delivery is better obv. So work out what you want from it.
If your going to track it, buy something better IMO
corsa Lets are wonderful cars, maybe not the best handling cars ever but one of the most FUN cars ive ever driven.
Those who bang on about handling etc etc, if your that bothered about corners etc, buy something with the right wheels driven and save yourself the effort.
At the end of the day, its a shopping trolley with a whopping engine. Its never going to be the best car ever, but IMO its all about the fun you have driving it. If your not having fun, time to move on

no i dont think your old, recently ive bin doin project with my xe corsa im just running a redtop with about 160bhp which i believe is enough power for the car.......
ive spent probably over 2k on brakes/arb's etc to make it handle/corner better, i could have just spent the money on the engine and got 200bhp but i would much prefer a better driving corsa than massive bhp
a standard c20xe corsa has plenty enough power for me on b-roads, to me good brakes and driving can be that axtra 25-30bhp the tb's would give

I drive a "proper" car as fad would call it
It has 321bhp, and is small light ( )
Allthough in a straight line and corners it would RAPE a corsa LET it would get bummed buy a standard LEt 50-120. The corsa would rip your spleen out at that speed. its fucking mental, i miss it everyday. I will build another

I agree with what people class as fun.
My 172 is faster in a straight line and round corners than my fabia was, I had much more fun in the fabia ( i know nonoe of these are close to let or z3m speed)

thats just it John, its not about the figures, or the fact that even tho my car is small it still weighs 3tonnes
Its about fun, id rather drive something that puts a smile on my face than something that on a track was faster than something else cos someone on corsasport said so tbh imo

i agree the corsa let is fun, what really disheartens me is the LET is a money pit, it needs £1600s worth of managment to get it running right and only today i took it apart to fix and oil leak and i saw that my £600 manifold has cracked after 6 months

Amazing car Adam, but I see where you're coming from. I think an XE corsa has quite enough power for itself so I can imagine TB's would be a real laugh!
