just received a letter from a soliciter saying i was involved in an RTA in which i struck someone from behind!

it wasnt me so dont know how i have been brought into this

do false claims happen alot?

yes my friend got one

just contacted them saying ir wasnt him as he was at work on that day at that time, plus it was a claim from somewhere in london and we live in yorkshire....

Yip, thats the best bet though, if it really wasn't you (never know on here) get a few mates to say you were all doing something.

If they know the guy can't prove it was you because it wasn't they've got no chance of getting into trouble.

Someone hit me from behind once and when the forms came through the prick was trying to claim from me. Luckily i had photos of the incident and an external witness otherwise i would have been screwed. Hate the legal system sometimes.
