Im changing my centre console with all the heater/aircon etc knobs on.
Ive removed my old one and i notice that on the mechanism for the knob with the heated rear screen on, when i pull it out it stays out (like the aircon knob does)
But on the new one im replacing it with it has a spring in it and when i pull it out it just springs back in?
This one (with spring)

This without

Which one is correct???
I thought the one without the spring would of been, but then why is there one with?
The consoles are from same year car, both with aircon, heated rear screen etc etc there the same, except for these spring for some reason.....

Does the heated rear screen knob pull out and stay out like the aircon knob or does it retract after you pull it out.
Mine have never worked so i dont know.

The one with the spring will be the middle one i think. Only think that as i had to pull mine out to do the rear window

Yeah its from the middle one, to activate heated rear screen. But when i pull it out it just springs back in. But on my old one im removing there isnt a spring and it stays popped out like the aircon one does, which is how i thought it was supposed to be.
