Just got a letter on about interest on my student overdraft, is it normal to get a year free after graduating then they start charging interest? Could do with another year, paying too much other debt off at the moment!

I still pay no interest, 3 years after graduating. Barclays graduate additions account £2200 overdraft

Yes, it's normally a year, but obviously depends on bank.

I know Barclays has accounts for post-Grads, giving even better overdrafts etc

I'm sure my grad account is there for 5 years but they reduce the amount of interest free OD you can have each year?

I know that I'm getting raped on my Student Loan repayments though!

Just looked and it seems that after 1 year it drops to 1,000 interest free, then 3 years its 500 quid.

I still have mine over 2 years after graduating, never actually used it though.

Also if your a post grad then you are still a student anyway and wont be any different until you finish.
