Ive got 4k to spend on a car, not really sure what i want, something i can drive on the weekends on the country roads, but also something that I can take on the track now and then.

Was thinking about an XE, doing it myself, always fancied it and obviously saving a bit of cash (think i could do it well under 4k even to a godd standard)

But now im tempted by a kit car, a tiger or a lotus 7, something like that. Theres some decent stuff around, could probably stretch to a bit over and i like to think im good at batering..........

Any other suggestions, or pit falls of either option? Thinkg a decent kit car would be a bit different

Out of an XE Corsa, and a Kit Car such as a 7, there is no contest. You will have 3 google times more fun in a RWD fag packet!

i would go jap 4x4 2l turbo. 4k would get you 300bhp in the following forms scoob wrx, pulsar gti-r or early evo

Neither of those are going to go for 4k or anywhere near are they.......

Your budgets small, get a 205gti 1.9 with decent brakes & suspension!!
