About to purchase Sky (Entertainment Mix and Sports)
Anyone know of any tips to get a better deal? i.e. free Sky + or no installation fee?

Do they still do that introduce a friend deal? What was that deal?
Find a friend that has sky if they're still doing it

Try cancelling by telling them you think its shit after a few months. They will offer you free stuff then. But then you are stuck with it still and it is pretty shit.
I still pay for it though

Then you could just get the freesat dish and box though and not waste time getting sky.
Sky+ is also a million times better than a crappy box that doesn't record.
My sky money is more than worth it for the discovery channels even if everything else is rubbish.

Once the new stuff starts coming back in the Autumn it'll be all good again and I will be happy. Summer is crappy, too hot and there isn't anything good on TV

Ah ha!!
Q: I already have Sky digital satellite equipment - what else do I need?
A: All you need to gain access to the free channels available on the digital satellite platform is a Freesat from Sky viewing card, which costs just £20. If you’d like to access the interactive services available, you’ll also need a working phone line. To purchase a viewing card please phone Sky on 08448 244 400.

Then they turn up to a detatched mansion in the country with jags and hummers sat on the driveway. " Hi boss, did you say the installation is free?"

I kept on playing a game with the fella on the phone. He was desperate for the sale.
I ended up getting the sky+ box for free and installation on a saturday for free (credit back on first month bill) aswell as some m&s vouchers.
Just had a letter saying prices are going up £2 a month too.
