what are they like? people say there quick & get good mpg.
any one owned one or drove one?
for some reason i think i like the 5dr one more than the 3dr one.

The 3doors that much better you have to tell us twice 
They are nice, tbh i prefer 3 door cars, whatever they are.

GET A 5 DOOR
I wanted one, they are the 16v version of the engine in mine, and therefore 150bhp and the insurance was a tad too dear, so I bought mine
Id love one, get a british racing green 5 door and you will be laughing

they are 150bh standard can get a tuning box from dtuk that takes it to approx 190 (APPROX)
they are comfortable on long drives and fairly economical

im not keen on the shame myslelf so i got the mk4 dti however the late 03 early 04 ones have the cdti engine in aswell

I got rid of mine a few months ago to get my VXR.
Mine was CDTI 150 with exterior pack, and was a 5 door.
Personally I think the 5 door with the exterior pack looks better than the sporthatch.
They are great cars and great engines. Mine had a DTUK tuning box on it and it was pushing out near 200bhp.

my bro had a vectra cdti 150 and it was good, engine is abit lazy eg struggles to pull away from junctions in 2nd about 5mph-10mph

If so i went to USC in one sunday just gone, very nice cars and pretty nippy in 'sports' mode

some of you would have seen my other astra post the other day about the astra design 1.6 & 1.8 but if i get the job iv applied for them ill probably get the 1.9 cdti one but still unsure which one to go for the 3dr or 5dr beacuse i like both of them but the 5dr one will be more practical,even tho i dont really need the 5dr version.

they go like shit of a shovel. drive em all the time, mpg are good too. not sure on reliability? i would have 1 if i didnt love the scooby so much? have you look at the new golf? they do a gt sport tdi 140 bhp an the 170? 170 has leathers tho, they are also really suprisingly quick 2

the 120's arent quick. 150's can see 200bhp with a remap.

My brother has one. The torque is amazing. 220ft/lb 
only getting 35mpg though. And there brillaint to drive, so comfortable.
Ex. pack is 2k from vaux

5 door over the 3 door.
They also do a 1.7CDTi, however this is the same 100bhp engine out of the Corsa SRi, so I'd say pretty damn slow. Cheaper on insurance though.

There bloody quick once a tuning box has been fitted
A guy not to far from me has a silver 5dr one with the full XP kit with 200bhp and over 300lbft of torque. I was VERY impressed with it when I had a play against it
