I finally found a Vauxhall's who were willing to sell the gear linkage for a Corsa B in parts. I got quoted 132pounds + VAT for the whole linkage from 1 place, went to another one and got the parts i need for 24pounds. Which is a hell of a difference in price

Ordered Parts 11 / 12 / 13 / 17
That should cure stiff & crunching gears shouldnt it...

1 of the technicians pointed out that these are the bits that just need replacing and wear, so ill fit them at weekend and let you know.

I still think the whole design of that bush is poor.. i bought a brass bushed linkage to go on mine before i sold it..
Should cure the problem of general vaugueness in the gearstick..
stiff crunching gears could be a simple matter of a poorly adjusted clutch cable

Bollocks i just realised i havent got the little rubber O-Rings (number 12)
Oh well thats what you get for being in such a rush, ill just have to use the old ones if i can.
Part numbers are
No. 17 - 90236961
No. 11 - 90425648
No. 13 - 90334891
Oh i remember, the parts guy said there were 2 different types of O-Rings (copper & rubber) and he didnt know which ones to order, maybe thats why he left them out.
Does anyone know if they are copper or rubber?
I Have 2000 (W Reg) Corsa B.

In neutral when i move my gear stick side-to-side it nocks quite loudly, and crunches when i put it into reverse most of the time, and also can be quite stiff going into gears....

Mine does the same crunching and stiff going into gears thing, but if I adjust the clutch cable it's fine, for a little while anyway

Quick shifts are good if you want a shorter more positive gear lever throw. I like my one and say go fore it
