i love them because they are classics! so esy to work on, but most of all because some people (in corsas) look down their nose at you because you have a nova, makes me love them even more because my car will have something a corsa b, c or d will NEVER have - character!

i would own one but it would have to be in really good condition as most of them have not been loked after, although saying that, ones that have been looked after are going for big money.

The ONLY time a Corsa B driver could look down their nose at a Nova driver was within the first 5 years of the Corsa B coming out. Cars worth a lot more, newer etc...

Now, its just the ultimate chav chariots replacement, which will become the Corsa C when the prices really drop, then eventually the Corsa D?? Maybe...

Can't see this generation of cars being as easy to work on as Corsa A or a Corsa B. Engines will be harder to fit etc...

I like Novas, they are a better handling lighter version of the Corsa, but the Corsa looks better.

Neither should be bought as a "performance" car, 500bhp LET or 82bhp 1.4 SRi.... Will always faulter at one or another thing.

As for a Corsa B having no character though, give over laddie, both our Corsas had loads, even Donnas run around she bought off Chuckie had loads of charm.

hardly. its just that you have a different opinion to mine, end of - im not arguing about it.

i had a corsa c, and 2 Bs before that so im not trying to offend anybody, id only be offending myself. prehaps it was a sweeping statement i made, what i should have said was

"in my opinion, after having 2 generations of Corsas, i found that my sheddy nova has more character than they did"

anyway, back to the thread subject. why do people like them:

1) easy to work on
2) cheap (not so much the case now for a good un)
3) fun factor
4) little bit retro
5) getting rarer
6) more character that MY 3 corsas

Only one i like is M16KE B's one and Joff's LET and i like that sport on MK2 Astra GTE wheels but all these ones now a days that are trying to go as low as they can on speedlines is just pure gay, perfect way to wreck a mint nova
