my house burnt down yesterday dont know what caused it yet but started in the eaves, took the roof off completely, my room is gone, sisters is gone then all collapsed through to downstairs so nothing left there either lost so much stuff which you cant easily replace and has memories. builder said looking at 6 months roughly till can live there again. Main thing is everyone is ok, only my mum was in and heard it starting to go then the alarm ent off while in the phone to me so phoned for the fire crew who after ages turned up, too late but did their job in time before it got to the other side of the house and even downstairs.

dont know really, there is storage in the eaves and a light power supply - my dad had been in there just before it started so must have been something to do with that but the fire investigator didnt really know as such up until that point

Gutting.

At work we've dealt with repairing a load of fire damaged properties (building surveyors). You'd be surprised how quickly things can be put back into a useable state.

Can't replace the objects you've lost, but glad everyone is out and ok
