Got a private number plate on my corsa at the moment, but its up for sale, and i want to put the normal plates on the car as i want to keep the private plate, will this cost me?i know it will cost me £80 to put the private plate on a new car once i get it..but will it cost me to put the standard number plates all registered etc??

105 quid to put a plate on retention, this includes transfer to another vehicle or certificate for a year, the car its removed from gets the old plate back on if its available else one that indicates its year!!

Take the certificate for the reg and the v5,mot and tax disc to your local dvla office and tell them you want to take the plate off that car and put it on retention and they will sort it all out and replace the tax and mot for the old reg off the car
