Managed to get our Koi to breed years ago, so brought them into the tank in the house and kicked the turtles out into the spare pond.

Couldn't work out why they were all gradually dying until only about 15/20 remained, then it turned out that the pump was buggered so they were basically ingesting their own piss or whatever.
