Im going to buy one tommorow from Vauxhall's as my gears are playing up at the moment.

I was just wondering what they're like to fit? If there not to bad ill do it myself. If there a pig to do ill let vauxhall's do it.

Anyone know what they're like, and a rough price if possible.

Cheers

i replaced mine on my B just before i sold it. parts were £132 inc VAT i think. then an hour or two labour

if it is a C i think they still sell the individual parts so just get the bit you need. if its a B you have to buy the whole lot wait time of afew days as well i think

Hmmmm i swear i was told you dont have to buy the whole linkages. You can buy just the individual part you need, a repair kit or something...

Lies

You can get the little bushes which will sharpen it up no end when you've replaced them, that's all you really need to replace, not the arms of the linkage.

I've got the part number somewhere.

Dear Mr Roberts,

I would like to convey my utmost regret that you feel this way about the situation we have found ourselves in.

Unfortunately, at the time of the original question, I was unaware of the existence of such a product available from the Vauxhall parts empire. Now I have discovered this, I will endevour to use this information to help others, who, like yourself have found themselves being potentially ripped off by uneducated Vauxhall dealers.

I hope you can take these prunes as my way of compensation for this terrible event.

If you still feel betrayed by my previous lack of knowledge, don't hesitate to contact me throught the appropriate channels.

Yours,

Robin Marriott

where can you get the repair kits from for the linkage for the corsa b? i have jus changed mine as one of the joints had snapped and got in touch with a friend from autovaux and was told the repair kit was only available for the corsa c as it was a general common fault so they produced the kits for them? i ended up going to the scrappers for the linkage and cost me 20 pound and fitted it myself.

might not last long but its a quick repair for a very small fraction of the cost for a new linkage.
