As above. The rub strips down the side of my Astra are painfully grey, ive got some back to back wipe things, which worked on the mirrors but havent even started on the strips. So yea, tell me what YOU have found to be good and where you got it from

Iv used loads in the past and the best iv found is back to black wax. Its a thick black tar looking shit. On plastic its awsome and goes propper black but can be a bit of a cunt to get off your paintwork .

Steve does that mean i would have to remove the strips though so i could get at them evenly? Im not sure I would be confident splashing engine oil down the side of my car, i tend to be a bit clumsy

I use Meguiars Trim Detailer. It's ok, but not the best. And it reacts quite badly with wax, polish and windscreen wash, so if it rains shortly after washing, you get streaks in it.

I refuse to bin it though because it's pretty expensive. It's good if not polishing & waxing the car though.

I use Groundnut (peanut) oil from Sainsbury's, £1.08 for a 500ml bottle, and it lasts forever (the bottle). Might not go perfectly black if your arch is white, but it's pretty good. Will get nigh on 100 applications from a bottle if you don't drop it like I did and get it all over the road.

I have tried most of the above products apart from the poorboyd and the best for me is tesco's own trim and tyre restorer in the spray can

look at any of my pics and the bumpers etc look like they have been painted black
