had one ov the funniest crashes in an Sxi
my mate turned for a sharp corner..

the fool actually jacked it up and tried 2 pull it so funny
moral to the story standardly rubbish handling..

Same story, Bent wishbone, Steering rack, snapped trackrod and ruined alloy.
Did it again 6 months later, bent wishbone, bent hub, bent subframe, snapped trackrod and ruined alloy
lol guess 2 wacks and the hub and subframe give way.

The only problem ive had with mine is that the engine doesnt like anything foreign (not vauxhall standard). The handling on mine is ok. I mean i dont plan to wack it round any corners too fast anyways... its just not the thing to do in a corsa... skyline yes corsa no.
They arent bad cars IMO.

1.2 16v engine is pretty good. Better than the 12v for motorways.

What sort of handling were you expecting?
I think crashing is down to driver error.
You can go very low - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=444405

deano87 better in what way ?
Ian i agree, crash is down to driving error, but i saw that thread, seems like some people have mixed opitions on how low it is, but i do like it, sits nice on 15s.
S@M your corsa looks nice, how much is lowered by?my plans are lower as much as i can, roll it on keskin kt-5's, german style font pressed plates, chequered roof, s/s exhaust all on a black corsa c...what you think?

It can just manage motorway speeds that little bit better. I did my PassPlus in a 1.2 16v Corsa. M25 and M1, did is just fine. 12v optimum speed for engine comfort is 60mph imho, and the 1.2 16v is 70mph.

I think my C is far better than my old B.
Less body roll than the standard B, better looking and decent fuel consumption even if you give it some. Perfectly able to cruise and 70/80mph with not too much noise.
Not designed as a motorway cruiser really, but manages well all the same. Much better car around town
