Apparently they did but by the time they gout out the car bonnet was to hot to handle and they used exrtinguisher to trya nd save the dash and rest of car

i know what they mean.... i was still yankin gat things glowing red trying to get the fire out when the skyline was going up ouch

It happened before the event, went to switch the Nitrous on and fuel line blew off and caught alight. They didn't have an extinguisher but luckily another totb support vehicle was passing and they threw an extinguisher at them. Then the Fire bridgade arrived and put it completely out. (this is according to one of the vaux team members)
He reckon's its savagable. The fire didn't get hot enough to warp the structual metal he thinks.

dont want to sound harsh to the guy as i would be very upset if that had happend to my car
but its things like this that should make us all realise that it is well worth spending the extra couple of hundred quid getting a full on plumbed in fire extiguisher system especially after the £1000's spent on the car im going to be buying mine very soon because i would be deverstated if that happend to any of my cars.
