For £2000 the GTi won't be in the best of conditions. A VTS would be better to have for that price range! And it'll last just as long as a Corsa, but will be better in every performance aspect hands down.

/\ /\ apart from the fact you can crash a corsa and not have to be cut out of it after a 30mph crunch. and they are built so much better than french tat

On Parkers the Saxo got a 3.5/5 and the Corsa a 2/5 Also ABS isn't standard on a Sport so you won't avoid an accident as easy that way. And I am now at the fact most Corsa B (not all) owners slate the Saxo as being unsafe

Under no circumstances do I hate Corsas. Having had a 1.0 12v, 1.2 8v, 1.6 16v, and XE, I've had my fair share of the wee things But the folk who instantly slate Saxos and GTi's as being unreliable, unsafe French shite are usually idiots who've never owned one.

Just as reliable as a Corsa. For that price you must be getting a bargain!
