Anyone been to one?
I'm planning on going to the one in Bradford to see The Dark Knight. It was on the advert that its being shown at certain Imax cinemas so would be rude not to! I've viewed one at MGM Studios but never seen a film on one before.
Heres a sample pic of an Imax screen:

Its not bad, but unfortunatly when i went they wasnt showing any cinema films, only their own things like simpsons, blue planet etc.
cracking sound system if i remember. I think the dark night will be awesome to see there.

went to see Open Season at the one in london.. was a 3D version of the movie and was too cool. The picture quality is amazing..
but Marc, i read up about the IMAX thing for Dark Knight and not all of the film is done using IMAX technology. only about 4 scenes are done like that so im not totally sold.
would prefer to see it at a digital cinema with a good sound system

not really much point seeing it at IMAX as only 6 scenes in the movie are filmed using IMAX technology.. the rest of the film is normal sized...

I went to see The Dark Knight at the Imax in Bradford last Sunday. Its well worth going to see it just for the experience.
My only complaint is that the seats are too cramped. I'm only 5ft6 and my knees were touching the seat in front. Also towards the end of the film my eyes were aching, but if you get right to the back in the middle row you'll be sound.
Get there 50mins before the film starts as the queue was massive, and you'll have better chance to get a decent seat!
