the older ones...

Are they just like driving a corsa B?

Always wanted one, - might downgrade, find an arden blue one on the last plate '2000' right?, XE it, tax would be still cheaper right? as its pre 2001
My insurance would be about the same as it is now tbf.

Just a thought ....

same as a b, slightly slower i guess, due to more weight, but better areodynamic's so probably even..

if you xe it, it will still come on the old style tax, so 190ish(or what ever it is for over a 1600 now) a year iirc

yeah thought it might,
touble is id want low mileage and good condition - althoughi can get anything painted/fixed at decent price, plus my b/f can fix etc

just want somthing cheaper on tax and insurance - not that my insurance isnt cheap - but i want to go on a big holiday next year so monies would be handy

id miss the pink corsa though

Whatever you plan to save would be wiped out by converting it. Plus it's older so you get silly problems like fuel leak, bushes, kind of stuff you can't anticipate.

I would still have one though, the drive is comparable to a Corsa of the same engine except you get less storage space inside, stupid back seats and a smaller boot. If any of that matters.

Surely to buy a late, nice Tigra, then convert it, tax it, insure it. You won't have much left assuming your using your Corsa to fund buying it?

well id go for one that has tax and mot regardless, wouldnt XE it straight away - and insurance isnt much for me.

id put my corsa back to standard and sell bumper/springs and wheels separate.

ive thought about this for all of 5 mins

its more of money saving with regards to tax and insurance really for the next 2 years.

problems like ian said will ovbiously arise, but parts are cheaper i can even help fix the thing! and having it fixed up isnt a expensive for me either

as i said its purely a thought right now.
ive never driven one and i might even hate having an older car! well it wouldnt be much older but you can tell the difference with older and newer model cars !

The GF had 1 a while back and just cudnt get used to driving it even tho its exactly the same as her corsa.Prob just the clutches were different or something.

Tigras look good without a spoiler, lowered on a set of nice wheels and a subtle exhaust.Arden blue or black are the nicest imo.
Id have an XE 1 for a laugh like. Not much of them kicking about compared to corsa's.

Ever thought of a salmon pink one philippa?

Would be quite a nice sporty car to be honest, even in standard form. Obviously with an XE it would be much better!

Fancy an XE ride?

With or without an XE, it will fall under the old tax system.

I'd prefer a Puma to a Tigra tbh

Keep the Corsa C. I regret selling mine and should have bought an old shitter for work.

I could buy another one, but it just won't be the same

Mate bought an old Polo and spent a small fortune on repairs. The repairs mouted up to what he would have spent on a decent car in the first place. Polo ended up being scrapped too.

So imo, unless you really want to get your hands dirty, keep with the decent Corsa C.

I went from corsa 1.2 to tigra 1.6 and now a corsa sport 1.6 and to be honest i would love to trade the corsa in for another black tigra. They are more fun to drive (tig 137mph / corsa 125mph) You get over the gay/girl jokes in about 2 months really lol

Even though you might think the user name reads corsa_phil it doesn't.
