Planning on taking a card instead of 2 weeks worth of cash on holiday in September.
Are there any cards available that dont charge to withdraw abroad?

To open a current account with us, you must click on one of the following options:
I will pay £100 into my account when I receive my card.
I will use my Nationwide current account as my main account, and transfer my regular payments and credits from my existing bank account (We can do this as part of the process of opening your account. You need your bank or building society name, account number and sort code).
I will open an e-Savings, e-Bond or Monthly Income 60+ account when I receive my card.
I am aged 16 or 17.
The application will take about 10 minutes to fill in. You will need:
* your employer's name and address
* your income details
What if you dont use it as your main account? Will they monitor it and just close it refunding you the standing balance?

What you need is a Caxton FX card. It's a pre-pay Master Card that you top up with a minimum of €750. It's free to pay with, and the ATM charge is €2 a go + the fees charged by the bank who owns the ATM, as most places in Europe seem to charge to take cash out.
You get a better echange rate than your bank will offer as you are buying a large ammount of money at a time and if you don't use all the money then you can just claim it back...
