fucK.... I would be tampin.. when I went to the newport one with just my exhaust and no other mods I had 109 bhp. Wish I had come with you now... what were the other boys having.. were they up or down on expected figures.

im seriously pissed off! Every1 was up on expected! All the operator said was its flat and idles uneven. I kno myself air filter needs clean bt other than tht

have you got a cone filter? if so take it off. and give it a good service. what was the tourque?

72lb ft, cone filter yes, the boys wiv me suggested service and possibly afm clogged or shagged? All i kno is tht is 30 bhp off wot it should be standard?

start with fucking the cone off and get summat decent or a standard airbox

had compression test and it was fine, dunno wtf could be wrong, gonna service it and clean afm i think.

I dont think you will have an afm... c16xe had them but not x16xe

don't think it will be because it needs a service some how.
did it get a timing belt done recently? could be timing done wrong. or the usual sensors.

is the eml on, is there a eml bulb that lights up when you turn the igntion on?

have you checked the block to make sure its a 1.6.? previous owner may have changed it for some reason

no havent but on the log book it is and remember when we had a blast a while back you weren that far ahead of me (half a car) so i doubt its 1.4 block

i think its been a gradual loss in power tbh which is why i havent noticed i think i should have asked for a retest as i kept with a phase 2 106 rallye 1.6 8v with 112 bhp on the way back, confused big style, engine management comes on then light goes out when fires up isnt that normal? im not expecting people to fix it im just asking where to start without worrying loads and getting some un-neccesary expensive work done

You sure it's not a 1.2?

When was it last serviced? Might have a few faults running through the ECU.

im pretty sure its a 1.6, il check anyway, but look wot i found when i took the plugs out to check em yesterday:
